Official statement in regards to recent YouTube video

For Britain has today been made aware of a video showing an individual named Tan wearing a For Britain tee shirt and reading what he claims is a manifesto. Some people may mistakenly infer that this has something to do with the party.

For Britain has today been made aware of a video showing an individual named Tan wearing a For Britain tee shirt and reading what he claims is a manifesto. Some people may mistakenly infer that this has something to do with the party.

We wish to make it completely clear that this individual does not speak for or represent the party in any way. We were appalled by some comments made and have reported them as they clearly crossed the line of acceptability. For Britain will not tolerate racism in any form, and upon investigation it came to light that Tan applied to be a member of the party. This application has been terminated.

There are parties on the left and right that seemingly tolerate racists and as we have seen, they fail to act when evidence is brought to light. For Britain is not the political home for such people and we will continue to act decisively if we discover members acting in an unacceptable manner. It is the deliberately dishonest rhetoric from much of the media about For Britain being ‘far right’ that individuals such as this mistakenly believe that they will be welcomed.
We trust that this unambiguous statement clarifies the matter.

This action has been taken in line with our Constitution.
